Using the "Browse Inside" feature for this book on the HarperCollins website, I was able to read the first couple chapters for this book and I was hooked. I never thought I would be interested in a book that boasts about killer unicorns, but I am- and I cannot wait to finish it. I was really disappointed that I would have to wait a bit before I either get the one copy that I am on the waiting list for the book through the library, or I visit the bookstore this weekend and buy it for myself. I tried explaining this book to some people I work with and every time I mentioned killer unicorns, they looked at me sideways. So, I have decided to add on that it is 'Buffyesque' (which is kind of how PW described it in a review) as Astrid is a kick-butt heroine who was predestined to be a great unicorn hunter. That way, no one can resist picking up a book that has killer unicorns and is 'Buffyesque'.
P.S. I like the cover for the hardcover version of the book better than the ARC copy. The girl on the ARC cover looks too feminine and fairy-ish to me. What do you think?
