Scaredy Kat

by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel

I loved this book! Way to go, Elizabeth, for taking what could be a very suspenseful genre and making it just a little edgy, but never overstepping the line of scary for younger kids. There are so many things to love about this book. Kat and Jac are back, with Jac again providing the support of a best friend every kid would be fortunate to have. Kat has another 'spirit' she needs to help as well as coping with her new abilities and how to control it. This comes in the guise of an older, but definitely cute, man named Orin who is friends with Kat's mother and an energy healer. With Orin's help, Kat is taught how to control her gift and help the new spirit, a young boy named Tank, find his right path.

A great addition to the series- I cannot wait for the 3rd book, called Unhappy Medium, to come out in April!

I wish this series had been around when I was younger because I would have yet another great series to eat up. I love this series!

I should have an interview with the author up on my blog along with the release of the 3rd book - so keep an eye out for that in April!
